BUILDING STAT DESIGN
With Game of War being a game largely centered around building up a city - each building has it's own functionality and stats associated with it. In addition to adding entirely new buildings, I also added dozens of new levels to existing buildings - this helped keep costs down, but continue to provide content to players. I also helped implement several cosmetic options to allow players to really make their city feel like their own.
TECH TREE DESIGN
In addition to building & upgrading their city, players are also able to spend resources to upgrade their tech tree. I was responsible for implementing not only the design and layout of the tree's nodes, but also the distribution of stats along each node and level on the tree. Finally, I was required to price out each upgrade to provide a report to management about how much revenue each tech tree would provide.
EQUIPMENT STAT DESIGN
Each player's hero can equip a wide variety of weapons and armor. Some provide benefits in combat against other players; while some provide a benefit to city building and research. It was my responsibility to design the stats and values for each piece of equipment, as well as what bonuses would be awarded for wearing a complete set. My favorite addition was the ability to change the glow color behind the player (this red glow was the first one we did).
